Technical Review Panel for CBO’s Health Insurance Simulation Model

CBO had a panel of technical reviewers from 2018 to 2020 to provide feedback during the initial development of the second generation of its health insurance simulation model, which was first used in the development of the spring 2019 baseline projections. CBO uses its health insurance model to generate estimates of health insurance coverage and premiums for the population under age 65 and as part of a process to analyze proposed changes in policies that affect health insurance coverage. Although these experts provided considerable assistance, CBO is solely responsible for the accuracy of its work.
