The Congressional Budget Office will release An Update to the Budget and Economic Outlook: 2021 to 2031 on Thursday, July 1, at 2:00 p.m. The report will briefly describe CBO's latest 10-year budget and economic projections, which incorporate the effects of legislation—including the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (Public Law 117-2)—enacted through May 18, 2021.

That initial report will be shorter and less detailed than usual so that CBO can provide its projections to the Congress as quickly as possible. Three weeks later, CBO will publish its complete volume of 10-year projections. That report, titled Additional Information About the Updated Budget and Economic Outlook: 2021 to 2031, will be released on Wednesday, July 21, at 2:00 p.m.

Also in July, CBO expects to provide some budgetary estimates of the President’s proposals.

The agency published its most recent budget and economic projections in February 2021.
