S. 30 would authorize the appropriation of $3.7 billion for fiscal year 2023 to construct or renovate seven major medical facilities for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Because funding for those facilities was provided in prior appropriations acts, including the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2023 (Division J of Public Law 117-328), CBO estimates that S. 30 would not authorize additional appropriations compared with current law.
