I’m thrilled to announce that this morning, CBO was recognized by the Partnership for Public Service as one of the best places to work in the federal government. CBO ranked first among 29 agencies in the small-agency category.
The Partnership evaluates agencies using the results of employee satisfaction surveys. The surveys examine employees’ views on communication and leadership in their agency, the match between their skills and their agency’s mission, and work-life balance. Results for all participating federal agencies are available at www.bestplacestowork.org.
This recognition confirms what those of us who are privileged to be part of CBO already know: CBO is a great place to work and has a long-standing history of working hard every day to accomplish our mission. We can only do that because we have talented, dedicated, and kind colleagues. We work together toward a mission that is important to the Congress and the public. And we continue to learn, innovate, and improve.
We are particularly proud to be recognized in a year that has been so challenging. Despite the disruptions to people’s lives caused by the pandemic and the difficulties posed by remote work, our strong culture of dedication and cooperation has helped us meet the rapidly evolving needs of the Congress during one of the nation’s most difficult times.
